Cafe Liberation is a one year culinary training program for at-risk youth ages 15-23 and training cafe that is ran by youth under the direction and supervision of Executive Chef Alvin Harvey of Crystol’s Exquisite Catering. The youth in our program will receive continued support, enabling them to achieve their full potential as productive citizens. We focus on creating professional environments for these youth where they can gain self-confidence and learn marketable skills to ensure a more successful future.
All youth in the Cafe Liberation Training Program will receive an apprenticeship certificate from American Culinary Federation (ACF) and one-year membership, food handlers certificate and opportunities from ACF for competition and events, identifying at-risk youth that will benefit from the program, will strive to teach young men and women that it is possible to break the cycle of violence and crime that many of these teens have faced. We focus on creating environments for these youth where they can gain self-confidence and learn marketable skills to ensure a more successful future.
